'Golden Globe Effect' Ahn Hyo-seop to Appear on 'Today Show' Following Jimmy Fallon

Actor Ahn Hyo-seop is receiving offers from mainstream U.S. broadcasters, buoyed by the global success of the Netflix film "K-Pop Demon Hunters."

His agency, The Present Company, announced that following his appearance on NBC's flagship talk show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on the 12th (local time), Ahn Hyo-seop will meet local viewers through NBC's leading morning program, the "Today Show," on the 13th.

Appearing on the "Today Show" is particularly significant, as it is NBC's longest-running news program that has opened America's mornings since 1952 and is the network's number one rated show. The program wields tremendous influence across politics, society, and culture, making it an essential gateway for global stars beyond mere entertainment promotion. On this occasion, Ahn Hyo-seop is expected to make a strong impression on American viewers by sharing the appeal of K-content and behind-the-scenes stories from his latest work.

This series of appearances is thanks to the remarkable achievements of "K-Pop Demon Hunters," for which he provided the lead voice. At the 83rd Golden Globe Awards held on the 11th, the film swept both Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song (Golden), winning two awards.

In the film, Ahn Hyo-seop played Jinwoo, the leader of the idol group "Saja Boys," who hunts evil spirits, and showcased fluent English dubbing. By breathing life into a character that combines the uniquely Korean element of K-pop with fantasy action, he has proven his potential as a "global icon" with both acting and language skills.
