Exhibition of Award-Winning Works from the 2025 Gangwon Literacy Pride Festival: "Youth in Full Bloom"

The Gangwon Provincial Council announced that it will exhibit 17 award-winning works from the "2025 Gangwon Literacy Pride Festival: Youth in Full Bloom" on the first floor of the council's main building for about a month, from January 12 to February 13.

The 2025 Gangwon Literacy Pride Festival "Youth in Full Bloom" was held on September 17 last year at the Taebaek Plateau Gymnasium to commemorate "Korea Literacy Month (September)," share the achievements of literacy education, and promote its social value.

In particular, this exhibition will feature a total of 17 works inside the council building for a month, including 2 Grand Prize winners (Governor of Gangwon Province Award), 4 Excellence Awards (Chairman of the Gangwon Provincial Council Award, Superintendent of Gangwon Provincial Office of Education Award), and 9 other award-winning pieces, as well as 2 works from the "Family Lifelong Learning Support Project-Drawing Gangwon Fairy Tales Together."

Kim Siseong, Chairman of the Gangwon Provincial Council, stated, "The elderly population in Gangwon Province is increasing every year. This highlights the urgent need for literacy education targeting seniors who missed out on learning opportunities. We will use this exhibition as an opportunity to widely promote the necessity and value of adult literacy education and to further spread the culture of lifelong learning throughout Gangwon Province."
