This training is designed to strengthen teachers' class design capabilities for nurturing local talent, focusing on exploring regional-based class design methods that incorporate local characteristics and resources into the curriculum. The event is particularly significant as it is co-hosted with Catholic Kwandong University, providing a platform to share practical models for linking education between the region, high schools, and universities.
Approximately 80 participants, including middle and high school teachers and education professionals in charge of the high school credit system, will attend the training. Sessions will be organized by topic, covering teaching and learning methods such as Living Labs, Project-Based Learning (PBL), and AI-integrated classes. Through this, teachers will develop practical class design skills by transforming local issues into class questions and connecting learning objectives, activities, and assessments.
Additionally, the training will feature a special lecture on Gangwon-style strategies for linking high schools, universities, and industries, as well as sharing case studies on elective course design that aligns with the 2022 revised curriculum, thereby enhancing schools' understanding of the high school credit system.
Kim Seongrae, Director of Secondary Education, stated, "This training serves as an opportunity to concretize the Gangwon-style high school credit system class model, which actively utilizes local educational resources to support students' career paths and growth. We will continue to expand support for curriculum design in connection with the local community to ensure the stable implementation of the high school credit system in schools."
