82% Reduction in Data-Related Work Hours
On January 12, Daesang Group announced that it has established a data-driven system across its business-to-business (B2B) sales operations through digital transformation (DT). The company aims to shift from traditional sales methods that relied on Excel spreadsheets and handwritten reports to a system-centric approach.
Previously, B2B sales teams faced challenges due to dispersed sales data, making real-time management difficult and resulting in varying levels of information utilization among staff. These issues repeatedly led to concerns about the inefficiency of sales strategy development and performance management.

To address these challenges, Daesang Group began a digital transformation in 2023 that integrates and analyzes all B2B sales data. The company built its system in phases, taking into account the unique characteristics of each channel, such as foodservice franchises, school catering, military catering, and industrial sales.
In the foodservice franchise sector, Daesang Group introduced a system that automatically analyzes industry trends and client information. Menu trends and changes in ingredient usage are organized as data, enabling immediate application in the field. As a result, sales methods are evolving, such as proposing new menu development ideas to clients.
For catering services, the company developed a dashboard that integrates and analyzes school catering data. With real-time data access, public relations nutritionists who manage multiple schools have seen their work burden reduced. In the military catering sector, integrated analysis of bidding-related data has improved the accuracy of business decisions.
Alongside system development, Daesang Group has also focused on employee training. B2B sales staff receive education on data analysis and visualization, and frontline employees are encouraged to develop analytical tools themselves, which are then expanded to the company-wide system.
The impact of digital transformation is reflected in the numbers. Daesang Group stated, "We have reduced the time required for B2B market trend and client analysis by 82% compared to before, saving approximately 5,400 hours of work annually." The adoption of data-driven sales strategies has accelerated the discovery of new markets and enabled more tailored responses to existing clients.
Looking ahead, Daesang Group plans to transition to a sales system integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). Starting in 2026, the company will pursue AX (AI Transformation) using AI technology to further advance decision-making processes across all B2B sales operations.
Kwak Moonkyo, Head of DT Promotion at Daesang Holdings, said, "By establishing a data-driven innovation system in B2B sales, we have achieved both significant cost savings and enhanced sales competitiveness. Moving forward, we will continue to secure a differentiated competitive edge in B2B sales through advanced digital innovation integrated with AI technology."
