Assessing "Organizational Fit" Through Aptitude and Personality Tests
A Total of 116 Positions to Be Filled
Wando County in South Jeolla Province is set to secure professional talent through its first career competitive recruitment exam of the year.
On January 9, Wando County announced that it will conduct the "2026 1st Local Government Career Competitive Recruitment Exam," hiring 27 new Grade 9 civil servants.
The recruitment by job category includes 15 for public health, 5 for facilities (general civil engineering), 3 for medical technology (dental hygiene, clinical pathology, physical therapy), 2 for facilities (architecture), 1 for industrial (electrical), and 1 for industrial (chemical engineering).
With more than half of the new hires in the public health sector, the county appears to be focusing on improving residents' health and strengthening medical services.
Since 2024, Wando County has introduced aptitude and personality tests into its career competitive recruitment process to select candidates suited to the organization. The results are used as reference material for interviews to assess job suitability, adaptability, public service mindset, and friendliness.
Applications will be accepted for five days from January 19 to 23. The written exam will be held on January 31, and after an interview process, the final successful candidates will be announced on February 9.
A Wando County official stated, "In addition to the career competitive recruitment exam, we also plan to hire 89 new civil servants through the open competitive exam."
Further details can be found on the Wando County website under 'County Administration Information - Notices and Announcements.'
