The city of Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, announced on January 8 that it will be recruiting participants for the "2026 First Half Public Job Program" from January 12 to 16.
The public job program is designed to provide employment opportunities to citizens in need of livelihood support, such as low-income unemployed individuals and vulnerable groups.
The number of recruits by category is as follows: 521 for Hope Jobs, 80 for Community Jobs, 47 for Daebudo Specialized Jobs, and 57 for Safety Response Jobs, totaling 705 positions. The employment period will run from March to June.
Eligible applicants are Ansan citizens aged 18 or older who are capable of working as of the program announcement date (January 5), with household income at or below 70% of the median income and assets not exceeding 400 million won. Foreigners with a foreign registration number are also eligible to apply.
However, those who fall under the following categories are excluded from participation: recipients of basic livelihood benefits under the National Basic Living Security Act, spouses and children of public officials, recipients of unemployment benefits, and those who have participated in the previous public job program for two consecutive terms.
For participants under the age of 65, the working hours are 20 hours per week. Monthly compensation, including weekly and monthly leave allowances, as well as transportation and snack expenses, is approximately 1 million won.
Applicants must bring their ID and personal as well as household member seals to the administrative welfare center of their registered district to submit an application. The selection results will be individually notified on March 9.
