Accepted to Seoul National University’s Department of Physical Education after Korea National University of Arts’ School of Dance
It was belatedly revealed that broadcaster Shin Dongyeop's daughter, Shin Jihyo, has been accepted not only to the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts, but also to the Department of Physical Education at the College of Education at Seoul National University.
At the end of last year, the ballet academy that Shin Jihyo attended announced through its official social media account, "We received the delightful news that our proud graduate, Shin Jihyo (third-year student at Sunhwa Arts High School), has been accepted to the Department of Physical Education at the College of Education at Seoul National University." It went on to say, "We are truly proud of Jihyo, who has been achieving the goals she has dreamed of one by one," sending a message of encouragement.
Previously, in September last year, it became known that Shin Jihyo had also been accepted to the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts. At that time, the academy congratulated her, saying, "She is a proud student who has grown together with her ballet teachers from the age-five preschool class all the way to the present, when she has taken the college entrance exam."

The news of Shin Jihyo's university admission had already been released in October last year through the YouTube channel "Jjanhanyeong Shin Dongyeop." The video shows Shin Dongyeop nervously waiting for the announcement of his daughter's results, then relaxing with a smile after confirming that she had passed. The production staff and cast members who were on site at the time also offered their congratulations.
Following her studies at Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School, Shin Jihyo has been on what is often called an "elite course" in ballet. In a past broadcast, Shin Dongyeop mentioned, "My daughter is majoring in ballet," adding, "She started ballet as a hobby when she was little, but she liked it so much that we have kept it going."
Meanwhile, Shin Dongyeop married producer Sun Hyeyoon in May 2006, and they welcomed their daughter, Shin Jihyo, the following year and their son, Gyuwan, in 2010. Sun Hyeyoon is also known to be a graduate of Seoul National University.
