Icheon, a Leading Advanced Drone City, Excels in Land Information Performance

Selected as the Top Institution in the 'Spatial Information and Drone' Category in Provincial Evaluation

Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 7th that it has been selected as the top institution in the 'Spatial Information and Drone' category in the 2025 Gyeonggi-do Land Information Comprehensive Evaluation, and has received an institutional commendation.

This evaluation assessed the work performance of 31 cities and counties in the province from January to October of last year, using both quantitative and qualitative criteria across seven categories, including land policy, cadastral administration, real estate administration, and spatial information and drones.

The city especially secured the top spot in the 'Spatial Information and Drone' category, demonstrating its capabilities as a leading smart spatial information city.

Last year, the city achieved several milestones, including the advancement of the Living Geographic Information Portal, the establishment of administrative district boundaries at the ri, tong, eup, myeon, and dong levels, and the development of a panorama service based on a digital twin platform. These projects were highly rated for enhancing administrative efficiency and laying the foundation for providing high-quality spatial information services to citizens.

A city official stated, "We will continue to actively adopt advanced technologies such as digital twins to further strengthen the city's spatial information capabilities."
