NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters
Proactively Delivers 241 Bags of Rice to Support
Food Security for Vulnerable Groups in Uiseong
In Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province, an act of sharing that reinforces the meaning of regional coexistence has continued.
On January 5, Uiseong County (Governor Kim Jusu) announced that NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters had donated 241 bags of rice (20 kg each, worth approximately 16 million won) to support low-income and vulnerable groups.
This donation differed from the usual practice in terms of its timing. Prioritizing effectiveness over formality, the rice was delivered to low-income and vulnerable households in the county through town and township welfare teams on December 23, ahead of the official donation ceremony.
This proactive support, which took into account the overlapping burdens of heating costs and living expenses during the winter, was praised for its tangible impact on the ground.
Kim Juwon, Head of NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, stated, "Local agricultural cooperatives are not just financial institutions, but also pillars of the community. We prepared this sharing initiative with the hope of providing real help to neighbors enduring the cold winter. We will continue to grow together with the region through various coexistence activities."
Kim Jusu, Governor of Uiseong County, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters for extending a warm helping hand to neighbors in need. This rice support will be a great help to vulnerable households, especially those struggling during the winter months."
Meanwhile, NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters continues to participate in spreading a culture of sharing in the local community through ongoing social contribution activities such as donations of funds and goods. By expanding the role of finance to include 'solidarity,' this initiative once again reaffirms the trust of the local community.
