Chairman Choi Hakbeom of Gyeongnam Provincial Council: "We Will Take Greater Responsibility for Residents Through Sound Cooperation"

On January 5, at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) Convention Hall, Choi Hakbeom, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council, delivered New Year's greetings during a congratulatory speech at the 2026 Gyeongnam Province New Year's Meeting.

Chairman Choi said, "I hope that all the projects planned by Gyeongnam Province and its cities and counties this year will proceed without setbacks, making this a glorious year that leads to the overall development of Gyeongnam."

He noted, "There are still many challenges we must address, including innovation in manufacturing and shipbuilding, advances in the aerospace industry, and responses to regional depopulation and the climate crisis."

He continued, "In 2026, the Provincial Council will work even more responsibly to set the right direction for provincial administration based on sound cooperation with the executive branch, actively support necessary policies, and enhance the safety and quality of life for our residents."

He also expressed his hope that "this year will be a meaningful one that proves Gyeongnam truly makes a difference."
