Gangwon Office of Education to Announce 2026 Middle School Allocation Results at 3 p.m. Instead of 5 p.m.

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education announced on January 5 that the release time for the 2026 middle school admission allocation results will be moved up by two hours, from the original 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on January 8.

Previously, the results were released at 5:00 p.m., causing inconvenience as students and parents had to wait for a long time.

Accordingly, the provincial office of education decided to adjust the release time to reduce unnecessary waiting, minimize complaints caused by delayed announcements, and address any distrust regarding the allocation results.

The 2026 middle school admission allocation results can be checked starting from 3:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026, through the website of the respective education support office where the application was submitted.

Admission registration is scheduled to take place from January 12 to January 16.

Kim Namhak, Director of Administration, stated, "This adjustment to the release time for the allocation results actively reflects the opinions of students and parents," adding, "We will continue to improve the admission allocation process so that it operates more quickly and transparently, further enhancing convenience for students and parents."
