[New Year's Address] Jang Jonghwan, CEO of NH Nonghyup Capital: "Strengthening Customer Competitiveness... Aiming for Top 7 in Industry Profit and Loss"

On January 5, CEO Jang stated in his New Year's address, "Last year was an extremely difficult year, as we faced a complex crisis with political and economic uncertainties, a shift in interest rate policies, and a slump in the construction industry all occurring simultaneously." He added, "Nevertheless, all executives and employees overcame the crisis with the spirit of 'Dongjugongje Overcoming Emergency,' achieving meaningful results." 'Dongjugongje' means 'crossing the river together in the same boat,' signifying the overcoming of hardships together. 'Overcoming Emergency' also refers to members working cooperatively to overcome crises.

Last year, NH Nonghyup Capital operated an emergency management system and focused on proactive risk management. According to the company, it achieved the lowest level of risk indicators. The company also expects to exceed its management goals in the year-end settlement. Additionally, it received an 'A grade' in the governance category for the fourth consecutive year from the Korea ESG Standards Institute.

CEO Jang emphasized, "This year will also be a challenging one, with so-called 'gray swan' risks such as global economic uncertainty, geopolitical risks, and increased volatility in asset markets persisting. It is more important than ever to establish a proactive response system before a crisis materializes."

He continued, "Rather than avoiding the rough waves, our choice is to ride them and go even further. Let us all unite our strength to turn this year's crisis into an opportunity, steadily accumulate achievements, and make this the inaugural year of our leap into the top tier of the industry."

To this end, NH Nonghyup Capital plans to focus on six key strategic tasks: ▲ driving customer-centric change and strengthening digital competitiveness ▲ improving work efficiency and profit-oriented management based on artificial intelligence (AI) ▲ discovering future growth engines and innovating structures ▲ strengthening proactive risk management and internal controls ▲ advancing consumer protection and information security systems ▲ ensuring sustainable financial soundness.
