Jiseung Kim Achieves Top Score in the 53rd National Examination for Clinical Pathologists in 2025

Dong-eui University of Science has produced the top nationwide scorer in the national clinical laboratory technologist licensing exam. The university awarded the student a scholarship of 10 million won.

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at Dong-eui University of Science (President Kim Youngdo) announced on January 5 that student Kim Jiseung achieved first place nationwide in the 53rd National Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensing Exam for 2025.

This year, a total of 2,945 people took the national clinical laboratory technologist licensing exam, and 2,497 passed, resulting in a nationwide average pass rate of 84.8%. The university stated, "Producing the top scorer in such a competitive environment demonstrates the excellence of our systematic educational system and practice-oriented training."

Dong-eui University of Science awarded a 10 million won scholarship to Kim Jiseung in recognition of the student's academic achievement and for raising the university's reputation.

Kim Jiseung said, "Thanks to the systematic guidance from my professors and the school's practice-oriented educational environment, I was able to achieve this great result. I will strive to contribute to society with a sense of responsibility as a clinical laboratory technologist."

Kim Hyeran, head of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, commented, "This nationwide top score is the result of the combined efforts and passion of both the faculty and students. We will continue to actively foster healthcare professionals with both expertise and character through systematic education and practice-based training."

President Kim Youngdo stated, "This achievement of producing the nation's top scorer is the result of the student's effort, the faculty's guidance, and the university's educational infrastructure. By awarding a scholarship to the outstanding student, we aim to widely promote the value of challenge and achievement."

A university official added, "Alongside the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, we operate various health-related majors and advanced courses, such as the Department of Radiology and the Department of Physical Therapy, focusing on nurturing practical, work-ready professionals."
