Trump Spends Year-End Holidays in 'Party Mode' with Golf and Auctions

Attendees Included the Elder Brother of Pope Leo XIV and the Israeli Prime Minister

It has been reported that President Donald Trump of the United States is spending the year-end and New Year holidays at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, enjoying parties and golf.

On January 2, Yonhap News Agency, citing the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), reported that President Trump has been staying at Mar-a-Lago since around December 20 of last year, having left the White House. While handling official diplomatic duties, he has also continued his "party mode" through the holiday season.

The year-end party was attended by pro-Trump figures such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow, and attorney Jeanine Pirro. Trump's three sons, First Lady Melania Trump, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were also present.

Stephen Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House and a close confidant of President Trump who designed the administration's immigration enforcement policies, was seen dancing and shaking his head to the party music.

The party was also attended by Louis Prevost, the elder brother of Pope Leo XIV and a supporter of "MAGA"-President Trump's political slogan "Make America Great Again." President Trump personally took the microphone to introduce him. Prevost is also known for his strong criticism of Democratic Party figures.

During the event, a portrait of Jesus painted on the spot by Christian artist Vanessa Horabuena was auctioned off and sold for 2.75 million dollars (approximately 4 billion won).

The Mar-a-Lago estate, located in Palm Beach, Florida, is often referred to as President Trump's "weekend White House" or "Winter White House." The party following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on December 28 was also held at Mar-a-Lago.

According to the WSJ, citing aides and close associates, President Trump regularly visited Mar-a-Lago during his first presidential term, but has been using the estate even more actively since starting his second term.

However, the report pointed out that after the party ends and President Trump returns to the White House for the New Year, he will still face numerous challenges, including the ongoing war in Ukraine-which he had promised to bring to a swift conclusion-and the escalating turmoil in the Middle East.
