Chungnam Development Corporation Unveils New CI: "Redefining the Identity of a Regional Development Public Enterprise" Newly Unveiled CI of Chungnam Development Corporation

Chungnam Development Corporation has unveiled a new Corporate Identity (CI) that encapsulates the company's identity and future vision, declaring its ambition to become a leading public enterprise in regional development.

At the New Year’s kick-off ceremony held on the 2nd, the corporation officially revealed its new CI, stating its commitment to advancing as a core public institution driving change and growth in Chungnam.

According to the corporation, the new CI features a design inspired by the deep blue waters of the West Sea, depicting the 'surge of a giant wave' ablaze in red.

By combining the English initial 'C' for Chungcheong with the Taegeuk symbol, the design embodies both the dynamism of regional development and Chungnam’s symbolic status as a central region of Korea.

The elegant curves of the 'C' and the wave motif represent the flow toward change and growth, visually expressing Chungnam’s driving force in leading the West Coast era and the corporation’s capacity for execution. It is evaluated not as a simple logo change, but as a symbolic system that clearly defines the corporation’s role and direction.

The blue tones signify the West Sea, Chungnam’s pristine nature, and the integrity and trustworthiness of a public enterprise, while the red tones symbolize the passion of local residents and the commitment to revitalizing the regional economy.

The harmony of these two colors encapsulates the corporation’s management philosophy of pursuing sustainable development by balancing development and the environment, as well as public interest and profitability.

In particular, the Taegeuk symbol applied throughout the CI highlights Chungnam’s representative status at the heart of Korea and conveys the values of coexistence, harmony, and prosperity. It reflects a commitment to grow together with the residents, collaborate with the local community, and prioritize public interest and responsibility above all else.

President Kim Byeonggeun stated, “This new CI serves as a symbol to clarify the responsibilities and roles that Chungnam Development Corporation must fulfill within the local community,” adding, “We will continue to establish ourselves as a public enterprise that supports Chungnam’s sustainable growth through development aligned with local conditions and policy directions.”

Meanwhile, the corporation plans to gradually implement the new CI across various promotional materials, project sites, official media, and online channels.

Through these efforts, the corporation aims to continuously enhance its brand value and external credibility as Korea’s leading regional development public enterprise.
