Busan Airport Limousine Bus to Revise Routes and Fares... Service Reorganized to Reflect Demand

Effective January 5 Next Year
"Based on Analysis of Actual Operation Data"

Starting January 5, changes will be made to the operation of the Busan Airport Limousine Bus, including fare adjustments, and increases or reductions in service frequency and routes.

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced on December 31 that it will reorganize some airport limousine bus routes connecting Gimhae Airport and major tourist destinations, with the changes taking effect from the first departure on January 5, 2026.

This reorganization was carried out to improve route efficiency and user convenience, based on an analysis of actual operation data over the past five months.

Busan Airport Limousine Bus to Revise Routes and Fares... Service Reorganized to Reflect Demand Busan Airport Limousine Bus.

For Airport Limousine 1 (Haeundae and Gijang route), a new stop at the East Busan Tourism Complex will be added to meet demand from the eastern Busan area. The airport-bound buses will newly stop at Osiria Theme Park, while the Gijang-bound buses will add Hanwha Martier. The locations of stops around Haeundae Beach will also be adjusted. The existing Haeundae Beach Entrance stop will be renamed Haeundae Beach stop, unifying the names for both directions.

Service frequency on the Gijang route, which has low demand, will be reduced, while the Jangsan route, which has higher demand, will see increased service. As a result, the interval between departures from Jangsan will be shortened from the current 60 minutes to 20-60 minutes, with additional vehicles deployed to reduce inconvenience caused by full buses during peak hours.

For Airport Limousine 2 (Seomyeon and Bujeon route), the adult fare will be reduced by 1,500 won, from 7,500 won to 6,000 won. The service interval will be adjusted to 60-80 minutes, while the route and stops will remain unchanged.

The airport limousine bus service, which had been suspended last year due to the previous operator returning its route rights, resumed operations on July 31 this year after a new operator was selected in February. From the resumption until the end of December, the average daily ridership was about 300 passengers, with a cumulative total of 50,000 passengers.

Hwang Hyuncheol, Director of the Transportation Innovation Bureau at Busan Metropolitan Government, stated, "This reorganization reflects usage patterns and citizen feedback collected over the past five months since the service resumed," adding, "We focused on improving both route efficiency and user convenience."

Director Hwang also explained, "We will continue to monitor usage and rationally improve routes and the operating system going forward."
