A Complete Roadmap to a Perfect Score in Life and Ethics
High Concy Books (Co-CEOs Oh Wooseok and Lee Haewon, hereafter referred to as High Concy) announced that its brand, Sidae Injae Books, has published three new titles in the “2027 Code One Life and Ethics” series, offering customized study strategies for test-takers as the importance of the “Life and Ethics” subject in the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) social studies section continues to grow.
The newly released study materials include: ▲ “2027 Code One Life and Ethics Concept Book,” ▲ “2027 Code One Life and Ethics Evaluation Institute Past Exam Commentary (by Year),” and ▲ “2027 Code One Life and Ethics Evaluation Institute Past Exam Commentary (by Topic).” These books are designed to enable step-by-step learning, from conceptual understanding to analysis of past questions and strengthening practical test skills.
The “Concept Book” covers ethical thought and core theories in depth, in line with the latest CSAT trends, and is structured to prepare students for high-difficulty answer choices and questions requiring critical thinking. It goes beyond simple memorization, focusing on explanations centered on understanding, making it suitable for students aiming for top grades and perfect scores.
The two “Past Exam Commentary” books have been differentiated to allow students to choose based on their learning objectives. The topic-based commentary organizes past questions from the Evaluation Institute from the 2021 to 2026 academic years by topic, making it easy for repeated study. The year-based commentary arranges past questions from 2017 to 2020 by year, focusing on enhancing practical test-taking skills in line with the actual exam flow. In particular, detailed explanations are provided for significant answer choices, helping students analyze incorrect answers and organize their thought processes.
The author group, Code One, has redefined “Life and Ethics” as a subject centered on understanding rather than rote memorization. They view past questions from the Evaluation Institute not merely as problems to be solved, but as materials for analyzing the intent behind the questions and the underlying thought structures, focusing on establishing unwavering criteria for judgment. Their learning structure organically connects concepts and past questions, aiming to help students achieve both stable top grades and perfect scores.
Code One stated, “Life and Ethics is not a subject where knowing a lot matters, but one where accurate understanding ensures unwavering performance until the end,” adding, “This book focuses on enabling students to independently determine what the Evaluation Institute is asking, rather than just teaching test-solving techniques.”
A High Concy representative said, “For Life and Ethics, accurately understanding concepts and the Evaluation Institute’s intentions is more important than simply solving problems,” and added, “These three titles have been designed to clearly separate the content needed at each stage of learning, allowing students to use them efficiently according to their own level and goals.”
Meanwhile, the three books in the 2027 Code One Life and Ethics series are available for purchase through the official Sidae Injae Books website, Kyobo Bookstore, Yes24, and bookstores nationwide both online and offline.
