Chosun University Hospital Enters Phase of Utilizing Medical Data Based on CDW

Collaboration Model Focused on Research and Validation Unveiled

Chosun University Hospital Enters Phase of Utilizing Medical Data Based on CDW Chosun University Hospital recently held a completion report meeting for the Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW) construction project and shared future collaboration directions to actively utilize medical data for research and validation.

Chosun University Hospital announced on December 31 that it recently held a completion report meeting for the Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW) construction project, where it shared future directions for collaboration to actively utilize medical data for research and validation.

This meeting was organized not only to mark the completion of the Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW) system but also to focus on how to utilize medical data after the system's implementation.

The meeting was attended by hospital executives, CDW project committee members, relevant departments, and representatives from the development company. They reviewed the achievements of the project and shared strategies for utilizing the data.

The CDW established by the hospital is a medical data infrastructure that integrates and standardizes key clinical data such as treatment, examinations, and prescriptions. It operates under a management system that considers both research utilization and the protection of medical information. Through user access control, access history tracking, and data integrity verification (QA/QC) procedures, the hospital is able to maintain a stable data management structure in accordance with internal operational standards.

The completed CDW will be used to gradually promote research and technology validation collaborations utilizing actual clinical data in the fields of medical artificial intelligence (AI) and digital health.

Kim Jin-ho, Director of the hospital, stated, "The key task after the construction of the CDW is to systematically utilize medical data, which is more important than anything else," and added, "Now that we have established the foundation for utilizing medical data through the CDW, we will gradually expand collaboration focused on research and validation going forward."
