Kim Oyong Appointed as Director of the International Transaction Investigation Bureau in Seoul
to Oversee the Coupang Audit

Park Jonghee, Director of the Individual Taxation Bureau at the National Tax Service headquarters, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Incheon Regional Tax Office.

The National Tax Service announced on December 30 the details of its regular senior executive personnel appointments for the second half of 2025, effective as of the 31st.

Commissioner Park entered public service through the 42nd Administrative Examination and has held a variety of key positions, including Director of the Individual Taxation Bureau, Director of the Asset Taxation Bureau, Head of the Welfare Tax Administration Division at headquarters, as well as Director of the Investigation Bureau 4 and Director of the Sincere Taxpayer Support Bureau at the Seoul Regional Tax Office. While serving as Director of the Asset Taxation Bureau at headquarters, he was recognized for expanding the scope of property appraisals and revamping the Hometax e-filing system, thereby supporting accurate tax filing and enhancing taxpayer convenience.

Director Ji Sung has been appointed as Auditor at headquarters. Park Jungyeol, Director of the International Transaction Investigation Bureau at the Seoul Regional Tax Office, will become Director of the Individual Taxation Bureau at headquarters. Gong Seokryong, Director of Investigation Bureau 3 at the Central Regional Tax Office, has been assigned as Director of the Litigation Bureau at the Seoul Regional Tax Office. Kim Oyong, Director of the Litigation Bureau at the Seoul office, will move to the International Transaction Investigation Bureau at the same office, taking charge of the non-regular tax audit of Coupang. Directors Yoon Changbok and Kang Jonghun have been appointed as Director of the Collection and Litigation Bureau and Director of Investigation Bureau 3 at the Central Regional Tax Office, respectively. Lee Taehun will move to the position of Director of the Collection and Litigation Bureau at the Busan Regional Tax Office. Yoon Seongho, Director of the Collection and Litigation Bureau at the Central office, will be dispatched to the Constitutional Court.

The National Tax Service stated, "Through this round of appointments, we will fill vacancies caused by the honorable retirement of regional commissioners and ensure the smooth implementation of next year's major work. We will continue to build a fair, rational, and future-oriented National Tax Service."
