Maximum Holding Limit of 1.5 Million Won Per Person
Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province will offer up to a 12% discount on Hwasun Love Gift Certificates throughout January 2026 to celebrate the New Year.
According to the county on December 30, this discount consists of a 10% immediate discount when charging paper or mobile gift certificates, along with an additional 2% cashback for customers who make payments using the mobile gift certificate.
The mobile Hwasun Love Gift Certificate can be charged through the smartphone app 'CHAK,' and QR code payments are accepted at approximately 3,000 affiliated merchants within the county.
The monthly combined purchase limit for Hwasun Love Gift Certificates is 700,000 won, of which up to 300,000 won can be used for paper certificates. The maximum holding limit per person is 1,500,000 won.
Park Yonghee, Director of the County's Local Economy Division, stated, "This additional cashback goes beyond a simple discount benefit and is designed to stimulate actual consumption and stabilize sales for small businesses. We hope that continued support for local gift certificates will help ease the financial burden on residents struggling with rising prices and economic downturns, and contribute to increasing sales for local small businesses."
Meanwhile, next year’s Hwasun Love Gift Certificates will be operated at a scale of 80 billion won, offering a discount rate of 10 to 15% for both paper and mobile certificates.
