Jarvis & Villains, the operator of Samzzomzzom, announced on December 30 that it has obtained re-certification as a 'Family-Friendly Company' from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Jarvis & Villains first received this certification in 2022 and has now successfully extended it through 2027, earning the title of Family-Friendly Company for a total of six years.
The Family-Friendly Certification is awarded to companies and public institutions that excel in supporting childbirth and childcare, implementing flexible work arrangements, and fostering a family-friendly workplace culture. Jarvis & Villains maintained its certification by achieving a score of 95.6 points in this year’s extension review, significantly surpassing the average score of 79.7 points.

In particular, the company received high marks for its flexible work environment, including a selective work hour system that allows employees to freely choose their start and end times as long as they meet their monthly work hour goals, an hourly annual leave system, up to eight days of remote work per month, and a remote work (workation) policy that allows up to one month of remote work per year from any location.
In the area of childbirth and childcare support, the utilization rate of parental leave and reduced working hours for female employees reached 75%, while the utilization rate of paternity leave and the retention rate (return-to-work rate) after maternity and parental leave both stood at 100%. Jarvis & Villains also offers a range of family-friendly policies, including fetal check-up leave, infertility treatment leave, and miscarriage or stillbirth leave.
