Continuous Orders Expected Based on Turnkey Solution Success
Contec, a company specializing in satellite ground stations, is accelerating its global market expansion with a foothold in Central Asia.
On December 30, Contec announced that it has signed an additional contract to build satellite ground stations with a government-funded research institute in Kazakhstan. This contract follows a successful turnkey project last year, in which Contec delivered an integrated solution-including satellite payloads, ground stations, and image processing systems-to a Kazakhstani government agency.

The company explained that the technical reliability and operational performance demonstrated during previous projects formed the basis for this contract. Rather than being a one-time supply, the significance lies in the fact that additional construction and follow-up business discussions are continuing, based on operational results after the initial deployment.
Contec is also planning to sign additional contracts early next year. The company’s partnerships with existing customers in Central Asia are expanding into ongoing business opportunities, and Contec aims to use this momentum to further grow its overseas ground station business.
A Contec representative stated, "We are maintaining cooperative relationships based on trust with our existing customers, especially in Central Asia," adding, "We plan to expand our ground station business in overseas markets and provide integrated solutions covering everything from the design and construction to the operation and management of satellite ground stations."
Meanwhile, Contec is also strengthening its in-house production capabilities for satellite communication antennas through its direct manufacturing subsidiary 'TXSpace,' established in Texas, USA. With the mass production system for TXSpace antennas now in place, the company plans to supply these antennas for future domestic and international ground station construction projects.
