With this selection, Seokdang Museum has achieved the distinction of being named an excellent museum for the third time, following recognitions in 2022 and 2023.

The University Museum Promotion Support Project, under the theme "University Museums as Cultural Powerhouses Opening the Value of the Future," supports programs that utilize universities' cultural and research resources to address sustainable social issues and interdisciplinary topics. The project aims to strengthen the status and public role of university museums and to realize open museums that are accessible to everyone.

This year, 18 university museums, including Dong-A University Seokdang Museum, participated out of 102 university museums nationwide. The awards ceremony for excellent museums was held on the 18th at the Seoul National University Museum auditorium during the "2025 University Museum Promotion Support Project Forum Results Presentation."

Seokdang Museum operated the "Centennial History Universe" program this year, conducting a total of 47 educational sessions for people with disabilities and youth. The program received high marks for its tailored structure for each group and its active use of university human resources.

The "Centennial History Sharing School" for people with disabilities was an on-site experiential program focused on improving access to cultural heritage in the Busan area. Notably, the Dong-A University curator supporter group "DongaMuse" participated as assistant instructors, drawing attention for fostering emotional and social integration by breaking down barriers between people with and without disabilities.

The "Teen Teen Digital Centennial History" program for youth was a mission-based educational and career exploration program for middle school students, including those from low-income backgrounds, reflecting the university's multidisciplinary strengths. Through collaboration with Dong-A University's major mentor group "Goon," the program provided opportunities to experience various academic fields and was recognized as an exemplary case of effectively linking university human resources.

Lee Seunghye, Director of Seokdang Museum, said, "It is very meaningful to be selected once again as an excellent museum in the University Museum Promotion Support Project," and added, "We will continue to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities through ongoing collaboration with on-campus institutions and the local community, and develop into a university museum that communicates with society."
