Mayor Park asked, "Is the heating working well in this cold weather? Are there any inconveniences?" He meticulously checked the insulation of the living spaces, the risk of fire from using heating devices, and the potential for water meters to freeze-ensuring all winter safety factors were reviewed. Any difficulties identified on site were immediately shared with the relevant departments so that necessary support could be provided without delay.

Mayor Park stated, "With the weather getting much colder these days, I've been constantly concerned about whether you are sleeping well and if the heating is sufficient," adding, "We will continue on-site inspections and support so that neighbors in need can spend the winter safely."

Since November 15, Mapo District has been strengthening protection for vulnerable groups as part of its cold wave response measures, which will continue until March 15 next year. The district is operating senior centers as cold wave shelters and conducting well-being checks and safety inspections by utilizing care personnel. For those with health vulnerabilities, health management and cold-related illness prevention guidance are provided through home visits or phone calls. When a cold wave advisory is issued, well-being checks are conducted every other day to minimize any gaps in care.

Mapo District announced that it will continue to maintain a comprehensive safety net through a response system of "well-being checks, on-site inspections, and immediate support linkage," ensuring that residents' daily lives remain stable even during cold waves.
