The "Proposal for the 15th Five-Year Plan," which was released after the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in October, includes measures to strengthen self-reliance in advanced technology and expand domestic demand amid intensifying U.S.-China competition.

In particular, there is keen interest in whether Premier Li Qiang will announce the economic growth target for next year in his government work report. This year, China set its growth target at around 5 percent.

The 4th session of the 14th CPPCC will be held in Beijing starting on March 4, one day ahead of the NPC.
