Daejeon City has published "Changes in Daejeon Life in 2026," which provides useful information for citizens in the Year of the Blue Horse.

The publication is divided into detailed sections such as "Newly Introduced" and "How Things Will Change," covering a total of 36 initiatives across five areas: economy, culture, welfare, safety & environment, and transportation & science.

New policies include the operation of a commercial district analysis service for Daejeon small business owners, the expansion of city gas bill card payment options for small businesses, and a zero-jeonse fraud Daejeon Safe Contract Consulting service.

Additionally, citizens are introduced to the Daejeon Temi Literature Museum, which will open in March, the Nulbom School children's fruit snack support program, pilot operation of autonomous buses, and the planned establishment of an open quantum fab at KAIST.

There are also changes to existing policies. Notable examples include the full implementation of the wildlife trade reporting and business permit system, the revision of the senior driver’s license return support program, the operation of an emergency entry system for common entrances in apartment complexes, the introduction of the K-Pass to expand public transportation fare support, the expansion of shared childcare centers, and insurance enrollment and support for mobility aids for people with disabilities.

A Daejeon City official stated, "Through 'Changes in Daejeon Life in 2026,' you can learn about the city's policy direction, current progress, and vision. We have worked to provide useful information for citizens and hope that this new information will help you plan a fulfilling 2026."

Meanwhile, the "Changes in Daejeon Life in 2026" booklet will be available at administrative welfare centers and libraries in January, and the e-book can be accessed through the Daejeon City Hall website, under Administrative Information and Changes in Daejeon Life.
