Recognized for Comprehensive Achievements in Attracting Investment

Muan County in South Jeolla Province was selected as an outstanding city/county in the investment attraction category at the 2025 Job & Economy Grand Festival and received a commendation from the governor.
With this achievement, Muan County has been recognized in the investment attraction evaluation for four consecutive years, demonstrating its continued competitiveness in attracting investment.
This year, the county signed a 5 billion won investment agreement (MOU) with Mokpo Muan Shinan Livestock Cooperative, creating 15 new jobs, and attracted a 3.8 billion won investment from Danmul Agricultural Corporation, injecting vitality into the local economy.
In addition, the county has carried out 20 activities to create favorable conditions for investment attraction, such as holding briefing sessions and media promotions, and has worked to build a business-friendly investment environment by directly visiting nine companies, including Doripo Kaipa, to listen to their concerns.
In particular, the Doripo Resort development project, with a total investment of 240 billion won, is considered a representative achievement of Muan County's investment attraction efforts. Featuring large-scale tourism infrastructure such as hotels, pool villas, and banquet halls, the project is scheduled to begin construction in 2026 and is expected to significantly contribute to revitalizing the local tourism industry and creating jobs.
Kim San, Governor of Muan County, stated, "Being recognized in the investment attraction evaluation for four consecutive years is the result of the collective efforts of residents, businesses, and the administration," and emphasized, "We will continue to lead the local economy through proactive investment attraction activities and take the lead in creating jobs for young people."
