The signing ceremony was attended by Yang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, Kim Taein, CEO of Cass Co., Ltd., and other related officials. They agreed to cooperate for the successful development of Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and to facilitate the smooth settlement of companies in the complex.

Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley is a state-of-the-art industrial complex of 218,000 square meters (approximately 70,000 pyeong) jointly developed by Yangju City, GH, and Gyeonggi Province in the Majon-dong area of Yangju. It is being established as an innovation hub in northern Gyeonggi, featuring a mixed-use infrastructure for work, residence, leisure, and education, based on advanced manufacturing and ICT industries.

Cass Co., Ltd. (established on April 19, 1983) is a manufacturing company specializing in weighing equipment such as electronic scales and load cells. Headquartered in Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju, it has operated production and calibration (maintenance) functions as a local-based company. Through its entry into Technovalley, the company plans to expand its smart factory-based production and research capabilities to strengthen its competitiveness in the global market.

Under the agreement, Yangju City and Cass Co., Ltd. will work together to implement related administrative procedures, such as industrial complex planning and prompt licensing support, as well as promote regional win-win cooperation, including expanding local employment and collaboration with local companies.

In addition, they plan to gradually explore ways to foster local youth talent and create an ecosystem for technological innovation by collaborating with local universities and research institutes on joint research in the weighing and sensor fields, industry-academia cooperation, and on-site training.

Since 2023, Yangju City has been working with GH and Gyeonggi Province to establish target industries for attraction, develop step-by-step implementation strategies, and carry out tailored investment promotion activities so that Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley can become an innovation hub in northern Gyeonggi.

Mayor Yang Soo-hyun stated, "We welcome Cass Co., Ltd., a company symbolizing accuracy and precision, to Technovalley," adding, "We will continue to provide administrative support so that companies can grow and the region can advance together."

Yangju City plans to continue focusing its administrative capabilities on attracting outstanding companies, research institutes, universities, and public institutions to key industrial hubs such as Gyeonggi Yangju Technovalley and Eunnam General Industrial Complex, in order to realize 'Yangju, a city that is business-friendly and full of jobs.'
