The Hometown Love Donation Program in Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) is steadily establishing itself as a key financial resource for addressing local issues and improving the welfare of residents.

On December 26, Cheongdo County announced that participation in the 2025 Hometown Love Donation Program has increased significantly compared to the previous year, placing the program on a stable operational track.

In particular, the county is focusing the donated funds on projects that residents can tangibly benefit from, such as addressing gaps in pediatric and adolescent medical care and building care systems, thereby creating a virtuous cycle of giving.

The flagship project being promoted with the Hometown Love Fund is the “Pediatric and Adolescent Department Operation Support Project.”

Launched to improve the insufficient pediatric medical environment in the region, this project has already provided medical benefits to over 730 children this year alone, receiving a strong response from parents.

In addition, starting next year, the county will significantly expand the “24-Hour Care Daycare Center Operation Project.”

The 24-hour care service, which has been piloted since June, has so far been used 308 times by a total of 86 people, helping to ease the childcare burden for dual-income couples and families in need of emergency care.

Furthermore, the fund will also be used to address welfare blind spots, such as supporting the purchase of wheelchair lift buses for people with disabilities to guarantee their right to mobility.

Benefits for donors will also increase starting next year.

Under the current system, a 16.5% tax credit is applied to amounts exceeding 100,000 won. However, from next year, the tax credit rate for donations between 100,000 won and 200,000 won will be significantly raised to 44%.

Accordingly, if a donor contributes 200,000 won, they will receive a total benefit of 204,000 won, including a 144,000 won tax credit and a 60,000 won return gift (30% of the donation amount).

This means donors will receive benefits that exceed the amount they donated.

Governor Kim Hasu of Cheongdo County stated, “Thanks to everyone who participated in the donation out of love for Cheongdo, we have been able to provide pediatric medical support and establish care systems,” adding, “We will do our utmost to ensure that these valuable donations are used to create real changes that improve the quality of life for our residents.”
