The Dong-gu District Office in Daegu (headed by Mayor Yoon Seokjun) announced on the 26th that it has recently completed the "Bongmu-dong Buffer Green Space Barefoot Trail Construction Project" in the Bongmu-dong area of Dong-gu.
This project was carried out with a special grant of 413 million won, resulting in the creation of a 363-meter-long barefoot trail and a 65-square-meter Puristep acupressure path, allowing residents to experience nature in their daily lives while promoting their health.
In addition, 67,900 liriope plants and 39,000 red spider lilies were planted to create unique seasonal landscapes. The project also included the planting of 37 trees such as emerald green arborvitae, and 2,550 shrubs including golden euonymus. Various amenities such as foot-washing stations, benches, deck chairs, and landscape lighting were installed, providing a green space where residents can enjoy both relaxation and walks.
Yoon Seokjun, Mayor of Dong-gu District, stated, "This barefoot trail, where liriope and red spider lilies harmonize, offers a unique charm in every season," adding, "We will continue to create distinctive green spaces so that residents can connect with nature and take care of their health in their daily lives."
