Close Consultations Held with Companies Interested in Investment
The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (headed by Koo Chungkon, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced on the 26th that on the 24th, it introduced the investment environment and investment cases of the Gwangyang Bay Area and held close consultations with companies interested in investment, with over 120 member companies of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Korea attending at the Ambassador Pullman Hotel in Seoul.
The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Korea is an economic organization comprised of 225 member companies, including global corporations such as Huawei, BYD, and Bank of China. In 2021, it established the Jeonnam Branch, and for this event, seven member companies from the Jeonnam Branch, including Kingtops and HAM, participated together.
On the 24th, the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority held a meeting at the Ambassador Pullman Hotel in Seoul, attended by over 120 members of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Korea. This investment meeting was held as a special event prior to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Korea's 2025 year-end general meeting. The program included the screening of a promotional video for the Gwangyang Bay Area, presentations on investment cases and industrial complexes, a Q&A session, and close consultations.
Executive Chairman Xu Zhichang stated, "The Gwangyang Bay Area is a leading industrial hub in Korea, where ports and industrial complexes are concentrated. I hope this event serves as an opportunity for our member companies to better understand the Gwangyang Bay Area and to discover more business opportunities in this region."
A representative from the Gwangyang FEZ Authority said, "The Gwangyang Bay Area is the most active region for Chinese investment in Korea. Today, companies from Greater China that have invested in the Gwangyang Bay Area shared their success stories, and member companies from the Jeonnam Branch participated in person to introduce their real-life investment experiences. We look forward to these efforts leading to practical and tangible investment outcomes."
