Organized by the Korea Internet Professionals Association, Web Award Korea is the nation's most prestigious web evaluation ceremony, where a panel of approximately 4,000 domestic internet experts selects websites that demonstrate outstanding innovation and completeness. Visit Gangnam was recognized as a platform that goes beyond providing tourism information by organically connecting the city's brand with the tourism experience.

Visit Gangnam drew attention for designing its content based on an analysis of actual tourist usage patterns. The user-centered pages allow intuitive exploration of information on tourist attractions, festivals and events, restaurants, shopping, and transportation. Multilingual services and map-based content for international visitors, along with mobile-optimized design, enhance practicality from the planning stage to on-site use.

This year, the platform's functionality was further enhanced. A calendar-based schedule feature was introduced, allowing users to easily view annual major events and festival schedules at a glance. Users can now conveniently plan their trips by intuitively accessing information on performances, exhibitions, and local festivals in Gangnam by date.

The responsive interface, which provides a consistent user experience across various devices such as PCs, mobile phones, and tablets, was also cited as a competitive advantage. The integration of location-based information and schedule details was evaluated as a design that takes into account actual tourist routes and usage flows.

Cho Sungmyung, Mayor of Gangnam District, stated, "Winning the award for three consecutive years is a testament to our efforts to design information from the tourist's perspective and effectively convey the city's appeal." He added, "Moving forward, we will continue to enhance AI-based search convenience and advance personalized information services, further developing Gangnam into a leading digital tourism platform."
