Naesacheon originates in Naesa-ri, Heungcheon-myeon, Yeoju City, flows into Songmalcheon, and then into Bokhacheon before finally discharging into the Namhan River. There have been ongoing concerns about flooding during heavy rainfall due to the narrow width of the upper stream and insufficient embankment maintenance.

The maintenance project will cover a total length of 0.6 kilometers in Naesa-ri, Heungcheon-myeon, Yeoju City, widening the stream (from 6-14 meters to 15-20 meters). The project includes 1.05 kilometers of embankment construction and the installation of three bridges.

The total project cost is 8.5 billion won from the provincial budget, consisting of 5.4 billion won for construction, 2.2 billion won for compensation, and 900 million won for design and other expenses.

Kang Seongsup, Director of Construction at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through this maintenance project, Naesacheon will be reborn as a safe and healthy stream, contributing to improved safety for local residents. We will work closely with Yeoju City and the local community to ensure smooth progress."
