Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters Holds "1st 119 Youth Corps Unity Sports Competition" on the 23rd

The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters held the "1st 119 Youth Corps Unity Sports Competition" at the main auditorium of Gyeonggi Science and Technology University on the 23rd.


Approximately 300 participants, including members of the 119 Youth Corps and their supervising teachers from across the province, took part in the event. The competition was divided into various programs focused on fire safety experiences and teamwork-based activities.


In particular, the event centered on activities inspired by firefighting drills, aiming to enhance the on-site response capabilities and sense of community among the participating youth.

Kwon Woong, Director of Life Safety at the Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, emphasized, "Youth are the future of firefighting," and added, "Since hands-on experiences are the most memorable, I hope this event serves as an opportunity for participants to naturally develop a sense of community and responsibility through real-life experiences on site."


The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters plans to continuously expand experiential safety education programs for youth.
