Hyundai Wia purchased the vehicles using 500 million won, which combined funds raised through its social contribution program '1% Miracle'-where employees contribute 1% of their salaries-with additional company funding. The company uses this fund to support local neighbors in need through various means, including the donation of Dream Cars.

The Tongyeong City Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, one of the recipients, provides laundry services to residents of nearby islands such as Yokji Island and Hansan Island. However, due to frequent breakdowns of their aging laundry vehicle, they had difficulty maintaining these services. Hyundai Wia modified a 2.5-ton Hyundai Mighty truck into a laundry vehicle and delivered it to the welfare center. This vehicle is equipped with four drum washing machines, enabling it to wash about 100 kilograms of laundry at once.

In addition, the Jinhae Disabled Lifelong School, an educational welfare facility for people with severe disabilities, received a Hyundai Staria vehicle. The school had been struggling with a shortage of vehicles for external education and field trips. The Natural Regional Children’s Center, which supports children from families affected by wildfires and heavy rains, was gifted a Staria Kinder, a dedicated school vehicle, to ensure children in rural areas can commute safely.

A Hyundai Wia representative said, "We are proud that the warm hearts of our employees have come together to give our neighbors a special Christmas gift," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities by operating a variety of social contribution programs."
