The Northern Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters held the "Northern Gyeonggi Province Volunteer Fire Brigade Federation Vision Declaration and Federation President Inauguration Ceremony" on the 23rd at the Yangju City Culture and Arts Center.

The event was attended by over 500 people, including Lim Sangoh, Chairman of the Safety Administration Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, other distinguished guests, and volunteer firefighters from 11 cities and counties in Northern Gyeonggi. The event featured sharing of activity achievements by the local volunteer fire brigades and the declaration of a joint vision for regional safety. In addition, awards were presented to contributors to the Northern Federation, and appointment certificates were delivered to the newly appointed federation presidents.

The newly appointed presidents of the Northern Federation are Lim Wonbin, President of the Male Federation from Namyangju Fire Station, and Noh Junghwa, President of the Female Federation. They will represent the volunteer fire brigade federations of the 11 fire stations in Northern Gyeonggi from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2028, and are expected to lead a variety of activities for regional safety.

Kang Daehoon, Head of the Northern Gyeonggi Province Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The volunteer fire brigade is a reliable partner for regional safety," and urged, "As the presidents representing the volunteer fire brigades of Northern Gyeonggi, please take the lead in revitalizing the brigades and ensuring the safety of the local community with a sense of responsibility."
