Beegloo Unveils AI Short-Form Animation "Boyfriend Search Project"

Leading the Expansion of the Short-Form Content Landscape

Spoon Labs announced on the 23rd that it will release the AI-based short-form animation "Boyfriend Search Project -Kiss With 5 Guys-" on its short drama platform, Beegloo.

This work, consisting of a total of 20 episodes and set to be released on the 24th, is a short-form animation adaptation of a live-action short drama intellectual property (IP). Beegloo determined that the romance fantasy and school genres are well-suited for animation, and selected the Japanese original IP "Boyfriend Search Project -Kiss With 5 Guys-," which had already been produced as a short drama with proven storylines and characters, as its first AI animation production project.

Beegloo incorporated AI technology into the production process to achieve "cel animation acting." By leveraging AI, the company was able to naturally depict the unique expressions and movements of the characters, as well as deliver fantasy elements, visually focused character portrayals, and heightened emotional direction that were difficult to capture in the live-action version.

With the release of this work, Beegloo will accelerate its "one source multi-use" strategy based on IP. The company plans to gradually internalize its AI-based animation production capabilities, while expanding a single IP into various formats such as live-action short dramas and animations.
