Samsung Securities Surpasses 7 Trillion Won in Brokerage-type ISA Balances

The brokerage-type ISA account has become an essential item for investors due to its tax-saving benefits. Recently, investment demand for domestic dividend stocks and domestic exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has increased, drawing attention from investors.

The balance of Samsung Securities' brokerage-type ISA has doubled compared to the end of last year. The number of customers has increased by 17%. The number of brokerage-type ISA customers has exceeded 1.37 million, making it the most widely used among investors in the industry.

Looking at the investment composition within the brokerage-type ISA, domestic stocks account for 38%, domestic ETFs for 11%, and domestically listed overseas ETFs for 33%. The proportion of investment in domestic ETFs has increased by 6% compared to the end of 2024 due to the rise in the KOSPI market, while the proportion of domestically listed overseas ETFs with tax-saving benefits has been maintained.

Samsung Securities is holding an event for investors seeking tax-saving benefits until the end of December. In line with the rising domestic stock market and growing investment interest, the company is conducting the 'Brokerage-type ISA Tax-saving Support Event' for new and existing brokerage-type ISA customers, consisting of four programs: Welcome Event, Start-up Event, Level-up Event, and Boom-up Event.

A representative from Samsung Securities stated, "As the stock market rises, more savvy investors are using brokerage-type ISAs to achieve both investment gains and tax-saving effects," adding, "We will continue to support brokerage-type ISAs so they can become a core solution for long-term asset building."
