The Busan Regional Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Commissioner Namil Lee) announced that on December 22, it conducted a special visit to the homes of vulnerable veterans to help them prepare for the winter cold wave.

On this day, Commissioner Namil Lee visited a Vietnam War veteran living alone in Busan, checked the heating conditions in the home, inquired about the veteran's health and overall well-being, and delivered care packages to help ensure a warm winter.

The veteran said, "It gives me great strength that the Veterans Office came to visit me personally on a cold winter day," and added, "I will live healthily and with pride as a veteran who has served the nation."

The Busan Regional Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs has designated the period from this month through February next year as the "Intensive Support Period for Vulnerable Veterans During Winter." The office plans to strengthen its own welfare check services and, in cooperation with local governments, identify and support households at risk during the winter season.

Commissioner Namil Lee stated, "We will continue to provide on-site support to ensure that elderly veterans who have sacrificed and dedicated themselves to the country can spend a warm and safe winter."
