Gyeonggi Province has concluded the 'G-SPEC Semiconductor Practical Course,' which was operated to nurture talent for the semiconductor industry within the province.
From December 15 to 19, Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with the Institute for Future Convergence Technology, operated the 'G-SPEC (Gyeonggi Semiconductor Personnel Development Center) Semiconductor Practical Course.' This initiative allowed job seekers aspiring to work in semiconductor companies to receive high-quality practical training using public infrastructure, rather than relying on expensive private educational institutions. The main curriculum included semiconductor process theory, hands-on training, and group projects, all centered on real-world industrial applications.

The selected trainees received both theoretical and practical training using public infrastructure such as clean rooms and semiconductor training equipment, which were jointly established by Gyeonggi Province and the Institute for Future Convergence Technology. They also participated in group projects, strengthening both their practical and collaborative skills. Notably, the satisfaction score for the course was 91 points, indicating a high level of satisfaction among trainees regarding both the content and overall operation of the program.
Park Minkyeong, Director of the Semiconductor Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Through this G-SPEC Semiconductor Practical Course, we were able to confirm the strong interest and demand for semiconductor technology education among residents of the province. Going forward, Gyeonggi Province will continue to provide full support to nurture practical, professional technical talent required in the actual industrial field."
Gyeonggi Province plans to further expand practical semiconductor education, including both theory and hands-on training, by utilizing the G-SPEC training rooms, equipment, and other infrastructure next year as well.
