Strengthening Global Cooperation in Research Collaboration and Talent Development
The Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center (Director: Jung Seokchan) signed a business agreement with the K-BioX Steering Committee, a network of Korean life scientists, to strengthen global cooperation at the "AI-BioX ConfEX 2025" held at COEX Hall C from December 11 to 12.
This agreement was established to build a collaborative framework for ongoing research cooperation, talent development, and industry-academia-research collaboration in the AI-bio convergence field, based on the close partnership between the two organizations throughout the planning and execution of "AI-BioX ConfEX 2025."
The signing ceremony was attended by Jung Seokchan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, Rhee Siyoun, Chief Operating Officer of the K-BioX Steering Committee, and other key officials from both organizations.

The main points of the agreement include: continuous promotion of collaborative projects in the AI-bio convergence field, including AI-BioX ConfEX; mutual exchange of research capabilities, networks, and professional personnel; convergence research and technology exchange in strategic industries of the Southeast region (such as AI smart ports and logistics, AI manufacturing and robotics, AI smart cities) and the life sciences sector; joint operation of educational and research programs for discovering and nurturing talent in AI and bio fields; and joint identification of research projects and establishment of industry-academia-research collaboration systems to create a regional AI-bio convergence ecosystem.
K-BioX is a nonprofit academic organization composed of life scientists, medical professionals, and bioindustry workers active mainly in the United States. Based on its global network, it leads the development of the global bio ecosystem through online seminars, mentoring, academic conferences, talent development, and international exchange activities.
Jung Seokchan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, emphasized, "We will continue to cooperate closely with the K-BioX Steering Committee to ensure seamless education, research, and industry-academia-research collaboration in the AI-bio convergence field."
The Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center operates with support from the "Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Development Project" of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP).
