Chonnam National University announced on December 22 that its Yeosu Campus held the "Employment Portfolio Competition" to help enrolled students systematically plan their career paths and strengthen practical employment skills.

Through a contest held last month, Chonnam National University awarded certificates and prizes, including the President's Award, to 13 outstanding students who were selected as winners.

This competition was designed to encourage students to organize their academic records and extracurricular activities accumulated during their university years, helping them go beyond simply listing credentials to build their own unique "career stories." A total of 24 students submitted portfolios reflecting their individual visions and competed in the event.

This year, the Grand Prize (Chonnam National University President's Award) went to Minseo Kwak, a senior majoring in English. Minseo Kwak set a clear goal of becoming an HR specialist with data analysis skills under the theme "From Point to Space." The judges highly praised her concrete execution, which combined theory and practice, including winning the Grand Prize at an external hackathon competition.

In addition, the Excellence Awards were presented to Minji Kim (junior, International Trade), Eunsol Park (sophomore, English), and Younghyun Cha (junior, Mechanical Design Engineering). The Encouragement Awards went to Jungmin Yoo (sophomore, Marine Production Management), Younghun Jang (junior, Petrochemical Materials Engineering), and Wooseok Jang (senior, Fisheries Life Medicine). Six other students also received awards.

Kim Jongkyu, Director of Academic Affairs, said, "I hope this competition has served as an opportunity for students to visualize their dreams as concrete roadmaps," adding, "Chonnam National University will continue to fully support a variety of career and employment-related extracurricular programs so that students can grow into key talents equipped with the practical skills needed in the field."
