"Three National Anthems in Hangzhou, China
Could Not Be Prouder"
President Lee Jaemyung commented on the consecutive victories of the national badminton team at this year's Champions Finals, stating, "The whole world is marveling at and applauding the achievements of our athletes," and added, "I could not be prouder."
On December 21, President Lee wrote on Facebook, "It would not be an exaggeration to call 2025 'the Year of Korean Badminton'." He further noted, "The national anthem was played three times on the soil of Hangzhou, China," and expressed, "My heart is filled with pride."
President Lee went on to mention, one by one, An Seyoung's record-tying number of wins in a single season in women's singles, Kim Wonho and Seo Seungjae's new record for most wins in men's doubles, and Lee Sohee and Baek Hana's achievement of back-to-back championships in women's doubles.
President Lee stated, "Countless sweat, tears, and fierce battles with oneself must have been endured to reach this point," and added, "At least for today, I hope you can set aside all burdens and fully enjoy the joy of victory."
