Possibility of Adjusting Announcement Timing to Early Next Year
The Democratic Party of Korea stated regarding follow-up measures to the October 15 real estate policy, including plans for housing supply, "The party and the government have thoroughly prepared additional supply measures as scheduled," adding, "However, the timing of the announcement will be determined by comprehensively considering various circumstances."

Paek Suhyun, Chief Spokesperson of the Democratic Party, made this statement at a press briefing held at the National Assembly on the 21st, further explaining, "(The real estate policy) is a sensitive issue that could have a significant impact on the market," and "Rather than meaning that the plan will be announced specifically on the 31st, we are prepared to announce it before or after that date, depending on a comprehensive assessment of the situation."
This is interpreted as an indication that the government's announcement of its real estate supply plan may be adjusted to early next year or another time. Kim Yoonduk, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, also stated at the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee on the 17th, "We are considering delaying the announcement of additional supply measures."
Regarding the so-called False Information Eradication Act and the Establishment of a Special Court for Insurrection Cases, which are scheduled to be introduced on the 22nd and 23rd, Chief Spokesperson Paek emphasized, "We will make every effort until the end to draft better legislation." He added, "We consider these to be matters that can be fine-tuned until the last moment and are making adjustments accordingly," and explained that the legislative process "will proceed as scheduled."
On the issue of promoting administrative integration between Daejeon and South Chungcheong Province, he clarified, "This is not simply a matter of administrative district adjustment or a political move for elections." He continued, "The integration of Daejeon and South Chungcheong Province will serve as a leading model for regional integration and will be a task for our generation to redesign a sustainable Korea for future generations," stressing, "It is not merely about who will become the integrated mayor or which party will benefit in the elections."
He also stated, "Even if the (integration) roadmap proceeds quickly, there is no possibility of it being rushed or poorly executed," and emphasized that as support from the presidential office becomes more concrete, public acceptance among Daejeon and South Chungcheong Province residents will gradually increase.
Regarding the opposition's demand for a special prosecutor over allegations of bribery involving the Unification Church, he said, "So far, the level of clarity in the allegations is insufficient to agree to a special prosecutor," and "At this stage, it is not a situation where we can accept a special prosecutor." He added, "While rumors and reports remain unclear, there are very specific reports about the amount of money involved," and "The party is closely monitoring that aspect as well."
