1,030 Blood Donation Certificates and Medical Expenses... Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Employees Join 'Hope Dream' Campaign

For Children with Pediatric Cancer and Rare Diseases
"Over 7,000 Blood Donation Certificates Donated by the Agency"

"Bringing hope to children with pediatric cancer and rare, intractable diseases..."

To mark the end of the year, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (President Park Jonggil) delivered 1,030 blood donation certificates and 2 million won in medical expenses, which had been steadily collected by its executives and employees, to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation on December 19.

This is part of the agency's annual "Hope Dream Blood Donation Campaign." The campaign is made possible through voluntary participation, with executives and employees either donating blood themselves or contributing blood donation certificates kept at home. Many staff members joined in, sharing warmth with their neighbors as the year comes to a close.

Including this year, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service has donated more than 7,000 blood donation certificates in total to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation. The certificates delivered this time will be used to help secure blood supplies for pediatric patients undergoing long-term treatment for cancer and rare, intractable diseases. The monetary donations will be used to support medical expenses for families of young patients facing significant financial burdens.

Park Jonggil, President of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, stated, "I hope that the small acts of kindness from each and every executive and employee will provide strength to children in need," adding, "We will continue to show sustained interest in vulnerable groups through the practice of sharing love with our neighbors and take the lead in spreading a culture of warm-hearted giving."
