Institutions Agree to Establish AI Governance Framework
Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 19th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation on artificial intelligence (AI) with other public institutions that have relocated to Daegu, at the headquarters of the Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency in Daegu the previous day.

A total of eight organizations participated in this agreement, including Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Gas Corporation, Korea Education and Research Information Service, Korea Real Estate Board, Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, Korea Scholarship Foundation, and Korea Intelligent Information Society Agency. The participating institutions agreed to establish a cooperative framework to promote the use of AI technology in the public sector and to further develop Daegu Metropolitan City as a leading AI region.
The main areas of cooperation include: ▲ establishing AI governance and collaboration systems among the institutions; ▲ strengthening the function of a regional AI hub; and ▲ forming and operating a regular AI consultative body. The institutions plan to share their AI-related infrastructure and expertise, identify joint projects for the adoption, utilization, and dissemination of AI, and create practical application cases.
