MicroOne, an air environment specialist company led by CEO Jeon Hyuksu, announced on December 18 that it has been officially designated as an 'Outstanding Corporate Research Institute for the Second Half of 2025' by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA).
The Outstanding Corporate Research Institute designation is a system that selects research institutes that have contributed to strengthening the nation's industrial technology competitiveness. This is done by comprehensively evaluating R&D capabilities, technological achievements, industrial impact, research personnel, and management systems among corporate research institutes. The significance lies in the fact that only institutes with proven technological capabilities and growth potential, verified through a comprehensive evaluation, are designated.
With this designation, the company has been officially recognized for its continuous R&D, environmental technology innovation, and industry-specific technology development achievements. As a result, MicroOne will receive benefits such as the certificate and plaque of designation, additional points in the SME research personnel support program, additional points for designation as a military service exception company, and preferential treatment in national R&D projects.
MicroOne was designated as an Outstanding Corporate Research Institute in the 'Carbon Neutrality (Environment & Energy)' sector. Among the total of two institutes designated in this field, MicroOne is one of them. The MicroOne Technology Research Institute is developing customized filter technology for industrial processes based on its proprietary PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) material technology. The company is applying the developed material technology to commercial facilities and is also focusing on ensuring technological reliability and on-site effectiveness.
A MicroOne representative stated, "We have established an R&D foundation that enables us to grow into an environmental specialist company based on material development, and this designation has allowed us to officially demonstrate our research capabilities externally." He added, "We will further advance our core material and process technologies, enhance field applicability and quality reliability, and continue to strengthen our competitiveness."
Founded in 2006, MicroOne has grown as a company specializing in eco-friendly green technologies, designing, manufacturing, and constructing incineration facilities, power generation facilities, air pollution prevention systems, and high-performance dust filters in-house. The company has continued its achievements, including receiving the Presidential Award last year.
