This event was hosted by the Graduate School of International Studies at Pusan National University, with joint participation from the Department of Global Strategy and Information at Hanyang University and Beijing Sigaole Education Group from China.

Professors, students, and experts from both Korea and abroad attended the event to exchange views on how AI is influencing research methodologies, evaluation processes, and the presentation of research outcomes.

Dr. Song Yiping, CEO of Beijing Sigaole Education Group, delivered a lecture introducing real-world examples of how Chinese researchers are utilizing generative AI in academic research processes. Dr. Song emphasized that while AI can be used as a tool to enhance research efficiency, transparent usage principles, responsible disclosure, and clear ethical standards must be established together.

The subsequent discussion focused on how universities can maintain a balance between the use of AI technologies and academic integrity. Participants reached a consensus on the need to establish AI usage guidelines, clarify records of AI-assisted work, and implement institutional mechanisms to ensure research reliability.

Ryu Juhan, head of the Department of Global Strategy and Information at Hanyang University, stated, "AI is reshaping our very understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship," and added, "The spread of AI-based research requires a new framework across education, research training, and policy discussions."

Zhelana Zmire, professor at the Graduate School of International Studies at Pusan National University, remarked, "Research in the age of AI presupposes critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and openness to new research methodologies," highlighting the importance of active participation and roles for students.

The Graduate School of International Studies at Pusan National University plans to use this event as an opportunity to strengthen its role as an international academic exchange platform and to expand international AI academic cooperation models for nurturing future talent in an environment that combines technology, ethics, and global research.
