934.9 Points in KMR Assessment
Official Recognition of ESG Responsible Management Capabilities in Public Institutions
Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation has been recognized as a leading public institution in Chungnam for responsible management, earning the highest grade in an ESG management assessment based on international standards.
On December 18, Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation announced that it achieved a total score of 934.9 points in the ISO 26000-based ESG management assessment conducted by the Korea Management Registrar (KMR), earning the highest grade of "Excellent" among four levels.
This assessment comprehensively evaluated the foundation’s policy development, implementation processes, and overall management performance in accordance with the international standard ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) guidelines.
The assessment was conducted in three stages-self-assessment, document review, and on-site verification-beginning in October. The evaluation covered all management activities of the foundation from 2024 through the first half of 2025.
The evaluation was based on the seven core subjects presented by ISO 26000: organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development. The objectivity and credibility of the evaluation were ensured through consultation with sustainable management experts.
Korea Management Registrar highly praised the foundation for embedding social responsibility throughout its organizational operations and establishing a responsible management system that aligns with international standards.
In particular, the assessment was notable for reasonably adjusting some items deemed less relevant due to the foundation’s business characteristics, while focusing on the effectiveness of stakeholder participation structures and internal decision-making systems.
Chairman Cho Sohaeng stated, "Achieving the highest grade is a result of practicing ESG management throughout the organization," adding, "We will continue to faithfully fulfill our public role for small businesses and micro-enterprises in Chungnam, and establish ourselves as a leading institution for sustainable management."
Based on the results of this assessment, the foundation plans to further advance its ESG management system, strengthen its position as a model ESG institution among public organizations in Chungnam, and promote a culture of sustainable management throughout the local community.
