Yoo Jae-suk shares thoughts on Jo Seho's departure: "I hope this becomes a time for self-reflection"

On the broadcast on the 17th, Yoo Jae-suk appeared alone without Jo Seho. Noticing that only the gift bag Jo Seho used to carry was left behind, Yoo Jae-suk remarked, "The bag is next to me. Its owner is now..." and gave an awkward smile.

Yoo Jae-suk said, "Due to this incident, Jo Seho has left You Quiz. Both he and I have worked together for a long time, but now that I have to host You Quiz alone, it really feels..." trailing off. He continued, "As he himself mentioned, I sincerely hope this will be a meaningful time for him to reflect on himself."

During the broadcast, Jo Seho appeared briefly in scenes filmed before the controversy. However, as these were wide shots, only his back was visible and he was not clearly shown.

Previously, on November 29, a post was uploaded to Instagram claiming that Jo Seho was close to a person identified as Mr. A, who is suspected to be a key figure in a local organized crime group. The author of the post alleged, "Jo Seho frequently visits a franchise actually owned by Mr. A," and questioned, "Is he receiving expensive gifts and even promoting it?"

The author also released photos of Jo Seho with his arm around Mr. A, singing together, and posing in front of the franchise store. The post raised several suspicions about Mr. A and demanded an explanation, asking, "Should a nationally recognized comedian maintain such a relationship?"

Jo Seho: "I should have been more careful with my associations. I apologize for the disappointment... The allegations are not true"

As the controversy spread, Jo Seho announced his departure from the shows he was appearing on. His agency, A27 Entertainment, released a statement on December 9, saying, "He will step down from his regular appearances on You Quiz and KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night.'" The agency added, "He has no connection whatsoever to the organized crime business that is the subject of these allegations. We will respond to this matter with utmost seriousness and will take swift and firm legal action."

On the same day, Jo Seho posted on social media, saying, "First, I apologize for disappointing so many people. As I attend various events, I meet many different people. I should have been more careful with my associations, but I did not handle things maturely." He firmly denied the allegations, stating, "The suspicions raised due to these connections are not true."
